Well now, after the recent 6moons review of Chris Hoff's new "no holds barred" flagship conditioner, the BP3.5 Signature, I knew that I had fallen short on my maxxed out mod efforts on my BP2.5 Ultra. Sure I had the full complement of upgrades including the L-9 Litz power cord and Mapleshade maple board/brass cones. I had even beat Chris Hoff to the ERS way covering the inner casing with 3 sheets. But that was it. After seeing the extent of Chris's use of ERS, I knew what I had to do. First thing on the agenda was the new BPT faceplate, a silver one to contrast my black unit. What a piece of work this laser engraved faceplate is,, a la Odessey Audio Stratos design as it overlaps the unit by 1/2" all the way around. TOO COOL!

Next was a stop to Parts Express for 4 sheets of vinyl dampening sheets. Chris's Sig has a 3 layer design, I had some layering to do. I then paid Mike Garner of Cryotweaks a visit for 5 more sheets of ERS. No holds barred this time,, EVERYTHING got covered from the transformer cover to the transformer wires, high current noise filter, Bybees, DynamiCaps, Hubbels,,, I even did up the switch and resisters. Was it worth it?? Damn straight it was!

The audio took on more life than I could believe was possible and the highs shot upward accordingly. This pretty much proves to me that you can't use too much ERS in a power application. It's benefits are just too much.

It must also be said that I did up a 2 1/2" circle of ERS for my Odessey Lorelei's with a 3/4" hole cut out of the center to fit over the WBT terminals. Another "have must" application of ERS in my book. This tweak-week was so rewarding for me that I felt the need to share my experiences. A little expensive but what the hea, nuthin's too good for me ears,,,

Regards, Robin
