Hello

From a business point of view. Which is a better brand Parasound or Arcam?.

Thanks

I can't speak for Arcam except that the make some very nice equipment from what I've seen in store and heard from others.

I can comment on Parasound however.  I recently bought a Parasound Halo A21 amp and I am very impressed with the build quality, features and sound of this amp.  I have had it for 2 weeks and can return it, but its a keeper.  Very dynamic and musical.  Its neutral sounding.

The Halo line seems better built than the Classic line.  This amp weighs 60lbs and I dont think any thing in the Classic line comes close.

I hope this helps some!

Regards,

Larry

what does that mean when you say 'business point of view'?

do you mean as a prospective retailer? or do you mean which company is ran more professionally? or do you mean which will hold better resale value when audiophilitis hits .

best,

Thats a tough question, I would consider if either of those products are sold in your area and what the competition is selling.  Consider the price range of all lines of parasound and arcam and figure out which would be easier to move.

I have a friend and we have been considering opening a store here to sell Cambridge Audio and some other brands that are not  available in the Twin Cities.  CA makes a great product and is priced right for people wanting to get into high end audio with out having to mortgage their house.

I think if you have to ask this question you should neither be distributing nor retailing either brand.
They are both worthy and deserve to be handled by someone who knows what he is dealing with.
