Hi guys, I know that the ST's are kind of new, but how about we make a nice ST gallery?

Thanks,

Max

Fair enough.  :)

Since I happen to have a few pics at hand, the SongTower's of the week are my very own custom SongTower RT's finished in a hand rubbed high gloss over pau ferro rosewood:

When any new owner posts pictures, lets try to get them posted in this thread.  I'll transfer over new pics from AVS when people post them in the owner's thread.  In the mean time, should we post all the pics here that have already been posted elsewhere?  If so, we've got some work ahead of us, but it will be worth it.

So what do you guys and gals say?

Max - this was a fantastic idea!

If we all contribute we should be able to sniff out most of the ST pictures and owner's out there.  If we look over the threads here and at AVSforum I think we'll catch most of them.

I will kick things off again...

Drew's Tamo Ash SongTower QWT's

huey driver's Walnut SongTower QWT's

American Curly Cherry SongTower RT's - owner unknown

Dogoman's Santos Rosewood SongTower QWT's

Indygreg's Walnut SongTower QWT's

Mickey's Honey Oak SongTower QWT's

Brandon,
Thanks for posting a picture of the honey locust ST's (one of the first 'original' finishes), which is what I have.  My wife really likes the Tineo though...maybe when I upgrade to HT3's!!!

I think those are from Jim's website.  They are the first production pair owned by my friend Raj.

As my friend Raj said last week, "They sound awesome!".  Of course he does think my HT1's sound even better;)

Nuance, your speakers are so nice looking, I could no longer resist so I ordered a pair just like yours.  Except, I could not afford to spring for the hand rubbed finish.  Thanks for posting your pics.  By the way, all the other SongTowers I've seen look GREAT!  Every time a new pair gets posted, I start second guessing my finish choice...  haha!

I met with Jim Salk today to listen to the SongTower QT and RT.  The SongTowers that he had on hand were very impressive visually and in music reproduction.  Jim kindly agreed to sell me the SongTower QWT in dark Hawaiian Koa that he had made for himself.  I have the ST set up in my system and am pleased with the performance in less than optimum conditions.  Placement of the speakers is limited by what is acceptable to my wife.  I will post pics when I have time to determine how to attach the image.

Here's pair that was an interesting project.

Bob had a piece of furniture finished in koa. Here's the picture he sent.

As you can see, the color was not natural koa.  It had been dyed or stained.

So we set out to find some koa that would match and then mixed some dye to match the color.  Here are the results...

And a close-up...

Happy listening Bob!

Wow - that's great!  Congratulations.  Oh, and thanks.  :)

I think you'll love your new speakers.  I look forward to reading your impressions and seeing pictures.

Excellent- congrats!  Jim is a good man to sell you his very own Hawaiian Koa ST's.  He's one of a kind, for sure.   :thumb:

I am happy to hear you are enjoying those ST's.  They are just an unbelievable speaker for the price!

I've updated the original posts with the names of the owners that have been provided to me.  I'll continue to post more pics, but please, someone help!  There's a lot of them!   :o
