Anyone know where I could get a mint 4B-ST in Canada? I have been trying to purchase one for a while but can't seem to find one. If someone knows of other methods beside Canuck Audio mart please inform me.

Thank you

My budget is about the average I see on most sites. Usually they are in between 1200$ and 1500$

I would like the unit to be free of scratches and dents of any kind and under warrantee.

Ok I will ask around at some of my dealers and contacts for you. Does it have to be ST or will SST be acceptable?

The SST is a little more than what I want to pay so I will stick to the ST. No doubt, the SST will be in the future.

Thank you for your help, I apprciate it. By the way, I live in Quebec.

Wow James, you're too kind. Most manufacturers would frown on helping a potential customer finding used units!

I agree,James goes way out of his way to help audiophiles,
definitely  a clear reflection of his personality on and off the audio stage.

Yep -- Bryston is a class act all the way. I've never seen a company care for its customers (both present and future) more.

I think I'm going to have to reward them for this and buy a nice new BDA-1  :D. (James I'd like it in black, rackmount -- who do I contact about getting one?) (you already have my email, but I'll fire one off to you anyways.)

I agree with everyone here! I am impressed that you would take time to help me out and I thank you.

Is this person a known customer of yours? He lives in the U.S. and if I am well informed, there is no duty charges because the item is produced in North America?? I live in Sept-Iles, Quebec and am wondering about all the extra charges.

Hi Dan,

I do not know this gentleman directly and there is free trade with the US and Canada so there should not be any issues with the duties etc.

Try "Canuck Audio Mart" http://www.canuckaudiomart.ca/
Place a "wanted" ad and see what happens. Be specific about what you want.
Lines like "have cash, will pick up" will sometimes motivate sellers that might be on the fence.
Check in often and you may find what you're looking for.

Gee, I wish my country uses 120VAC.  Almost impossible to find used 240V Bryston amp over here.

BTW, can I have my friend in the US purchase used units (w/ some warranty left) and send them back to Bryston for voltage conversion?  He's moving back from the US and should have container space for shipping personal effect back home.

Hi,

You would have to get our distributor in the country they are going to to change the voltage over for you. They would then re-register the Warranty, Voltage and Serial numbers in the new owners name.
