Demo New Speakers
« on: 8 Sep 2008, 11:33 pm »
All,

I talked with Ryan and we are planning a demo of his new speakers at my place this Thursday night starting at 4:30 PM. :) So far, Bryan, MerRev (Chris), and Chris from BPT have confirmed. I am still waiting to hear back from Sturgus to see if that day will work for him. I can fit another couple of folks if anyone else in interested. I will have some snack food on hand while we demo and Ryan is thinking of BBQing for those that can stay for a while. I live in Ballwin, Mo. PM me for address and directions.

Thanks,

Rick

Scott F.

All,

Everything is good to go for tomorrow's demo. I wanted to let you all know that I share a driveway with my neighbors but they are out of town so you can park on either side. My wife has put together some appetizers to munch on while we are demoing.  :D

Thanks,

Rick

thanks for the invite Rick. :thumb:
Can't wait to hear the C2's powered by a beast of an amp with a tube front end.

&, I imagine Ryan has something pretty cool cooked up for us to hear as well.
I should be able to make it close to 6.

Just came down from the wood shop where Ryan is finishing up the cabinets. They should be pretty cool when he gets them finished. He picked up some pretty unique veneers too.

All,

I wanted to thank everyone who made it out to my place yesterday. It was a lot of fun catching up and listening to some good tunes on the Dyns and Ryan's two ways!  :D I think Ryan has a winner on his hands. I will be posting pics from the party later this afternoon. Once Ryan is finished with the design I will have him bring them back out for a final demo.  I'm thinking of having another get together in the Thanksgiving timeframe as well, so I will keep you all posted on that.

Rick, just want to say thank you for having us over. I had a really nice time and really enjoyed your system a whole lot. I think you have found a nice synergy with the Odyssey and the Dynaudios. I  think that Turbo may be on to something with his new design. Very good speaker just a few kinks to work out. As always it was good to see the guys. Hope I get to hear your system again.

Thanks for having us over Rick.  Good time had by all.  Always interesting hearing a work in progress.  They've got a lot of promise.

Please also pass along my thanks to Sarah for being such a gracious hostess.

Rick:
Just want to add my thanks to you and Sarah for hosting such a nice event. Your house is lovely, the A/V room is awesome  and system sounds great. I know we can take it to a higher level just by spending a few $$$$$$$$$.  Ryan's speakers sounded transparent and detailed with a wide, deep soundstage. I can't wait to hear the finished product at Scott's. Thanks again.

thanks again Rick!
The man cave turned out really well and I enjoyed hearing some new music and experiencing different gear.  I have to agree with Sturgus -the C2's and the Odyssey amps were a great pairing.  It was a very nice full effortless sound with plenty of dynamics.  I get the feeling the big Dyn's are unflappable.

It was good to see Chris from BPT, hear Ryan's speakers and also hear more audio insanity from fellow inmates (can't wait to hear them Bryan).   By the way Ryan- what is your brand name?
Ryan's speakers turned out really well and I have to echo Chris' characterization- "transparent and detailed" and I'll add nimble and fast.

All,

Thanks for the kind words! I really enjoyed having everyone out and would like to do it again sometime soon. Chris, I tried out your power conditioner and all I can say is . I will not be taking that out of the system so we will have to talk on price. Shoot me a PM and we can play a bit more one evening. I have posted pics from our party below.

Ryan's speakers will be sold and marketed under the BPT name. The model name for this design is yet undecided. I think Ryan is leaning towards meteorological nomenclature.
