Sorry James, my bad.

I got confused between USB 2.0 supporting high bit rates 24/192.
I assumed other vendors were using a chip solution, BUT
 realized it was software specific drivers, created on the windows/mac side.

Hence the BDP-1 -  a dedicated linux system.
