Besides being great at just being speakers, I found another priceless characteristic of the mini's. They float!
I ran from Hurricane Gustav (that bastard) Sunday. I had no choice but to leave everything. I prepped the mini's by leaving them on the stands (24" off the floor) and put the plastic bag over them ,the one that Bob knowingly provided in his packing. And hoped like hell that everything would be OK when it was over.
I got back yesterday to find out that mostly the storm missed us. Just west of here, where I'm originally from, not so lucky.
Obviously, I'm kidding about the floating part, but the relief I felt seeing my new system untouched was unmeasurable.
So if anyone out there has never experienced staying or running from a hurricane, I heartily recommend it. It will remove years from your life so you won't have to worry about getting too old.
