Guitar cables

Wayne,

Ever think of making instrument cables?  Nice long ones (10' to 20') and short patch cables? (6" to 12")

Just wondering.

IMO it would be a complete waste of time.

Why do you say that?  More and more musicians are buying high-end instrument cables.  They greatly cut down on RFI and other noise. . .let's the tone shine!  Also, so many cables solder joints break so easily.  Many people I know just toss these and buy new ones (even middle of the road cables)

Here's an example of well-known cables.  Have become very popular as of late since David Gilmour uses them.  http://www.evidenceaudio.com//store.html

A few issues ago, Guitar Player magazine did a test of over a dozen different cables. They found some pretty wide differences between them.

With creating music, the sound and tone of everything in the signal path will matter.

I have built a NITRO level guitar cable for my son. I also built him a single ended, tube, head with a 12" hemp cone loaded cabinet.

If you are interested in trying out the cable, pjchappy, send me your address and I'll send it to you for an audition.
