***SOLD*** Scott 222C Integrated Amp
« on: 1 Aug 2008, 02:45 pm »
I guess if I'm going to let this classic go, I'm going to price it $625.  I can't even tell you how much it pains me to write this.

Highlights:

- NOSValves full rebuild with bias mod, Russian oil caps, true speaker binding posts

- Nice, thick rubber feet

- Comes with a complete set of tubes

- Has only been kept in my dedicated audio room "The Man Cave" that is free from destructive women, kids, and pets

Any questions, just email me @ mvansloten@gmail.com or call me @ (202) 391-1345.

What tubes will it come with?

RCA rectifier
RCA 6U8A pair
Russian 7189 quad
GE 12AX7 quad

I have some better tubes set aside if interested:

Brimar ECC83 pair
Mullard (reissue) 6U8A
Amperex 7189 quad

Honestly, the mods, better parts, plus the bias points, true speaker binding posts (instead of the basic screw), and the nice rubber feet make this Scott 222C really stand out.

You'll be looking for a better Scott 222 or 299 that is better than this one.

That must be a sweet unit...NOSValves (Craig) does awesome work!!  Wish I had the cash, unless you wanna trade for a collection of Audiophile LP's... aa

This is an AMAZING tube integrated.  I'll actually be very happy to keep it.  However, right now it is one of 4 amps that I rotate in my 2ch rig.  So, it doesn't get a lot of playing time.

I'm going to change/update my final price, since it may not need to be shipped.

Final price is $625, but I'm not going to pay for shipping.

I can promise it will not last too long at $625.  If you've ever wanted to have a vintage tube amp, do wait and let this one pass you by.  It's too nice for it to be for sale at this price.

There will be no other price reductions.
