Would you have any interest in building an M-80 headphone cable for AKG K-1000's?  I bet it would sound wonderful just subbing out a gold neutrik XLR connector on the one end, maybe even have a bybee option for the top end.  Compare to http://www.stefanaudioart.com/K1000Cable.html.

They say headphones are enjoying a resurgence.  I can't say myself, but it gives us one more thing to obsess about, no? ;)

If you can't build me one, I am going to probably DIY, meaning how much for a 6' M-80 unterminated on one end? :)

Steve,

I could build such a cable without too much trouble.

I would have to order in the 4-pin Neutrik.

Would you want spade lugs on the other end?

I could even use the new Eichman Bayonet plugs.

Yeah, I was thinking the Eichmann bananas.  I need to make sure the amp I just bought off a'gon (Sophia SET Music Baby) has the right binding posts, but I think they are standard.  They'd need to have a lot of play on the amp end to clear the chassis (though this amp is pretty small).  Please post or PM me a cost estimate for a 6 foot pair as described.  What would one name such a speaker cable for cans?  Lady fingers? ;) Wait, we need a silent killer...  Kayaku-Jutsu, or KJ for short.  :D

Thanks!
