Off for a few days, new projects and RMAF

I have an early flight out to Philly tomorrow morning. My niece is getting married on Friday and the whole family is heading east for this event.

I will be coming back late Monday and I will need a day or two to sober up after a planned visit to Dogfish Head Brewery in MD on Sunday.

I will be adding the "Standard" level power supply for the SB2 and 3 to the website after I return. I will also add the Ultimate level for the DUET. This means that there will be power supplies at the $500.00 and $1000.00 level for all the SB units.

I have been listening to the NuForce ICON the past week and I have been pretty impressed with the sound from the USB input. I do have some mods planned for it, as well as a new power supply.

I should be getting a GLOW amp here in mid July for mods. Ed Schilling has been kind enough to send me out a pair of his Horn Shoppe Horns to make evaluating the GLOW much easier.

I have ordered all the parts to finally build a tube output stage for the ReBox SqueezeBox project. Lots of iron and some really high end capacitors. As usual, there will be some interesting power supply twists for this. Hopefully the new faceplates will make it through customs in the next week or two.

BOLDER Cable and TweekGeek will be presenting in THREE rooms at RMAF this year. There will be two rooms together on the tenth flloor and a separate room on the ninth. The demo room on the ninth floor will feature the latest version of the  Spectron Musician III SE mono-blocks. The source will be some form of SqueezeBox.Most likely a seriously modded DUET.

Mike Garner (TweekGeek) dropped off an OPPO DV-983. I will be working on mods for that unit and it will be available to play SACD, DVD-A and CDs in one of the rooms. BOLDER Cables for interconnects will be featured as will Mike's $2500.00 Bybee SE power cables. A ReBox should be in at least two of the rooms.

There is a good chance that a Teres TT will be available to play vinyl. Chris is not planning to exhibit this year, but I think I have talked him into letting me borrow a 260 series TT with rim drive.
