Double Ugly

Ok DU,
then what do I do with the highlighted area to put it in the blog?

I'm not quite following along, Rod.  Rather than cut/paste, I included links to your comments to provide quick and easy access to those who'd like to read them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "highlighted area", nor do I know to which blog you're referring.

I was calling this a Blog, maybe the wrong word.
I was trying to get all my review stuff on one page is all.
Thanks for trying to help this one inept computer dude.

Double Ugly

You're welcome, Rod.  I'm sorry I didn't understand what you meant.

If that's what you want, though, here it is -

OK Jim here goes,

Pinch me I'm dreaming was a thought going through my mind all night long listening to Steve's newly up-graded Revelation MK III.
Thanks go out to Steve and Bob for the fantastic evening.
New friends to boot too!

Sound

Where to begin?

Cohesive tonal quality top to bottom, instantaneous dynamics, open effortless flow of timing,
Bass performance I've never heard till now, firm plucks of the string, no flap or splatter regardless of ppp or FFF
or organ pipe or synthesizer lowest note.
Heard from the other room I was saying, how did the piano get in here?

Well Jim what do you think ?
You have had the pleasure of SP TECH for 4 years,
How do the up grades sound to you?
What about those Rockies?
uh Revelations I mean?

Kind Regards to a new buddy-o

Rod

Thanks for the bit-o-feedback on my posts Guys.

I am new to this format and am naturally hesitant.

I'm afraid I will come off sounding too bombastic about these speakers so I tried to restrain myself.

But what adverbs and additives to use when the purity of the musician's soulful intent comes
through like that?

At a loss for words, speechless, drooling gaping mouth, bug eyes, emotional response, tears well up, flushing.

You get the picture,

it must be experienced first hand,

 No Other Way To Know!

Steve, chime in as these are your speakers taken "Where No _Man Has Gone Before".  Make that "_Sound!!"

Can't wait to see you all at Ted's grand opening if possible.

Are there other posts you'd like included, or just these two?

This is a picture of the speakers for sale, taken at the Chang get-together in Denver last October.

I don't recall anyone who wasn't in awe of the sound that evening.  I was particularly impressed they could sound so good with a crossover, an amp and a preamp all less than a week old.

Opinions vary, of course, but I certainly don't think them ugly.  Even if they were, their sonic abilities more than make up for any perceived aesthetic shortcomings IMHO.

ADDENDUM:  Note the no-longer-available black woofers.  They sound no different than the silver woofers, but I think they work particularly well with the high-gloss piano lacquer finish.

Wow, I go outa town for the weekend, and this thread has life

DU, Thank you for posting the photo's.  I wish someone could just come by for a listen, they would surely take em home :lol:I hope to get the bigger ones, once I get settled in.

Ted, Thanks for all the great comment's, and input on the Rev's.

How much space do these need to be placed from the rear wall?

I can't believe these glorious speakers haven't found their appointed home.

Maybe expand the ad distribution to agon, eh?

What are the stands under the Rev's at the picture from Steves House?

I think they're just good, solid boards painted at the factory to match the speakers' finish.

As for the points beneath them, and I'm pretty sure they're Audio Points.
