Tom,
You have to remember Frank's line up. New DAC, new Preamp, I think new power amp and Salk HT3's speakers.

Of course there is also the crappiest interconnects money can buy (Radio Shack) is a big upgrade. Nonetheless, I heard what I heard and I don't have to shabby of systems at my home either as a reference. All you have to do is close your eyes and see if you can see with your ears how big the sound stage is, how natural and blooming the bass is, how the rest just builds on a solid foundation. We could call the new series "Ain't going to get any better". But, knowing Frank............................

Another possibility would be to name the series after a famous electronics person, sort of in keeping with the "Ohm" in Omega. Such an approach could then be expanded when other product lines have sufficiently major enhancements to trot them out as new lines entirely.

In this case, I like the name Tesla.

Oh, it would be great to give some deep and meaningful reason. But to tell the truth, I'd love to tell folks that my power amp was a Van Alstine Tesla 500. It just sounds good... and powerful.

Van Alstine Eden a state of perfect happiness or bliss.

Van Alstine Zion - an imaginary place considered to be perfect or idea.
OR - Heaven.

I promo could be something like this : You always imagined owning the best, owning perfection. - Your imagination just became a reality. Introducing the Zion Series of components.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Frank ever intended to limit suggestions to one name per person. To quote FVA when he started this topic, "No 'scattershot approaches' please. Just one good name per suggestion and reasons for it." Hopefully, he will not even mind 2 or 3 names per suggestion (not scattershot), especially if they are somewhat related.

Judging from the descriptions of the sound of this series, it appears that Frank has created something special here. I was going to suggest the Orgasmatron Series, but Woody Allen already used it in his 1973 movie Sleeper.

My second choice then has to be Frank Van Alstine's Magnum Opus product line.

Magnum Opus is Latin for great work.

How about the Sigma series.

It continues the AVA "tradition" of using Greek letters to name the solid state gear.
And since (capital) Sigma is used mathematically to represent "Summation",
it acknowledges that this line is the summation of Frank's previous experience.
