SOLD. Scott 222C. Restored by Hot Glass Audio.

The amp has sold. Thanks, Mike.

Restored January '07. Just got it back from Hot Glass after a check up. Ryan recalibrated the DC balance. It sounds better, more transparent and open. I bought this one as it sounded alot better than one that was restored locally. Ryan does great work, I haven't had any problems with the amp. I use other amps also and estimate this to have 500 hours on it since the restoration. It has a center channel out that I have used to hook up a subwoofer, can also use speaker level too of course.
I haven't played the Scott for a few months and am surprised how clear and transparent it is, Ryans recent adjustments improved it. Anyone that knows these amps would be impressed with the sound quality of this one.

The original owner scratched his ss # on the top center of the faceplate. The numbers are less than .25" and don't go throught he plating, but they're there. Otherwise there are a few scrathes on the face, but no dents or bent metal. It looks nice and shiney from a few feet away. Unfortunately this pc won't download pics, I will see if I can get a friends help to get pics up in a few days.

Tubes:
Russian 7189's (4)
GE 6U8 (2)
RCA 6U8A (1)
JJ 5AR4 (1)
China 5AR4 (1)
12AX7's:
Tung Sol reissue's (2)
Sovtek LPS (2) nice in phono.
Shuagang 12ax7a (2)
RCA vintage long plates (2)
Sovtek WB's (4) dull sounding, ok backups.
Sylvannia 5751 (2) basic, not triple plates.
Tungsram ecc83 (3) 2 of these were noisy, but can get a feel for the sound.

I am selling to thin out my collection, it's not really my style to have too many pieces. I'm going to complete a tube amp kit I started as diy suits me, and will keep a '70's ss receiver as backup. Since I can't quit diy'ing speakers I need to be lean with amps and sources.

$395 plus shipping from usa, 95521. (Considering the amps sound and what I have in it and tubes this is a good price). Lower 48 sale only (I hate doing this but shipping problems are terrible to deal with).

Thanks, Don
