some of the recent thread regarding the dodd battery pre amp, when coupled with the RWA has piqued a quesion. Do the nature of viinies battery amps reduce or eliminate the need for the various points, cones, feets, sorbathane, herbies , isol blocks etc. tweaks etc.

The omgea version of the amps comes with a dual spike and stand system. Seems llike a good system but dont know if its for style or substance.  What have foiks tried?

As a matter of course, I put Herbie's under everything I have, including the speakers.
Microphonics, vibrations and all the little stuff just dissappear.
I haven't tried the 30.2 w/o the Herbies so I can't attest to any effectiveness with the 30.2.
Its just that they work under everything I've have (and had) and I wouldn't try
anything w/o them.

Good question.  I haven't found the RWA amps all that sensitive to vibration.  I have a few customers who have used various vibration tweaks and have reported some change (usually for the better).  I suspect that with the Isabella, one might be able to get even more of a change.  Tubed circuits tend to respond more to this sort of thing.

Note that I say "change" instead of "improvement."  The change may very well be an improvement, but it might just be a little different, or maybe not as good.  If you have the time and inclination, it might be fun to play with.

Speaking of 'change', like a few others I know who have tried it, I can report that this does indeed work:

Useful perhaps as an anti-resonance test generally before taking the plunge with proper supports for a particular setup, or even as a permanent arrangement for cheapskates (like me!).

Best bet is to do a tour of your local pharmacies to see the different brands on offer and select yourself for consistency - not flaky, light, even height, flat and rigid (my wife seemed to wonder why I was taking so long and finding this mundane errand so interesting and I guess assumed I wanted them for my feet until I casually mentioned I was getting eight of them: 'You're joking??', 'Err... yes, of course!!' So I went with four...and went back a few days later for four more... ).

In my case the effect on the CD player was a pronounced improvement - in particular a leaner and tighter bass. I have an older transport though so it might have benefited more from this than a better-designed modern player. The effect on the amplifier was more subtle perhaps, but still worthwhile.

Should this audio tweak not work, I've also heard that these can instead be used on your feet...

just bought a 5 pack of rectangular ones off ebay.com.au for $8. will under the tubed pre I'm building for my Sig. cheers for that.
