Well, it's finally done....I think!   

Nicely done, John.  You've created a very capable rack without losing focus on the aesthetic value, a tough balancing act!

I like the changes/updates, and I hope you remain pleased with the results.

I too am very impressed at how they look. My flexy rack is rock solid and impossible to move, but it isn't very pretty at all. I also had to place tenis balls at the bottom as to not scratch the hardwood floor.

So kudos on how nice that looks!

Addendum:

In my materials cost list, I forgot to mention that I did not pay for the 80-20 extruded aluminum sections that I used for uprights.  They are leftover pieces from a project my brother did. 

Figure about 50 cents per inch.  At 36 inches mine would cost $18 each, or another $72 + shipping for the posts.  This would bring total materials cost to about $325.
