Hey all:

We have finally launched the new TONEAudio site.  It's a bit more refined than the old one, but with some good changes that we hope you will enjoy.

There is now a FULL review index for all the issues in case you are looking for a certain review.

Where you used to download issues of the magazine, we now have all the covers and a complete table of contents for each issue that opens in a separate window, so that you can see what is in a particular issue before you download it.

There will be a new gear review every two weeks and new music reviews every other week. (hopefully this will be every week shortly...)  In the music section, if there is a place to buy the LP, we have included a link and if there is a high res download, we have included a link for that as well.

The gear and music reviews are bonus content between issues as before.  There will just be more of them.  We have quite a few lined up for release, so check back often.

We hope this will make your reading experience more enjoyable and easier to access.  Let us know what you think.

great stuff. As i mentioned to jeff in a PM, i love the vintage and blue plate stuff covered by tone. It is a great balance to there well written reviews. I also like the sort of real world tone the reviews of new equipment take.  None of the usual bs found with a lot of the print reviews.

Plus the emphasis on music makes it ever more attractive.  Keep up the good work!!!

What's with the PDF problems lately?

I got it to DL partly then it crashed Firefox.
2nd time it just won't come down and open in Acrobat.
Using Acrobat 7.1.0 Pro all updated.
Piece of bloated crap!

Thanks for the kind words.  Did it ever occur to you that the problem
might be on your end?

We always test it pretty heavily before uploading to our server.  And
it's built to be compatible back to Acrobat 4.

So to answer your question, there haven't been any PDF problems lately.
The magazine has been about a 45 mb file for the last five issues or so
with no real field problems.  Most people with a decent connection can usually
download it in a minute or two.  Our server will do about 800kb/sec if you
have the bandwidth on your end.

Downloaded the last issue, no problem.

If someone can't download, it's the first filter to keep the old guys out.
