Hard to believe that this DAC with Empirical Audio mods could be made better, but the new mods and high-performance pulse transformer increase dynamics and focus significantly. The more I study this puppy, the more I find that it can be further improved. The price has been increased a small amount for this.
The pulse transformer and new termination make a HUGE difference. The stock transformers are very poor and the termination and associated parts are not optimally implemented. These deficiencies are all fixed in the mods now.
