Ok.... this could be long.
First off, the show was a lot of fun. It is always a treat to visit with others who share your passion. VSAC is special because it's roots are that of a hobby based event. Doc B. created the event to bring tube crazy audiophiles together. It is a collection of people who have a deeper involvement in audio than your typical crowd. These are guys that push the boundaries, and sometimes go over. In other words, my kind of people.

Dan Schmalle is the founder and originator of VSAC. This year, he was not organizing things but did manage to put together a simply impressive feat of engineering. Within the span of a couple weeks Dan & Paul Joppa managed to design & execute this entire active speaker design using a wall of SET amplifiers. They also built ALL of those amplifiers within a span of a couple weeks. All I could say was wow! I'm not worthy......

Here are two of the true gentlemen of the audio world. Both soft spoken yet extremely knowledgeable guys with a lot of humility. Paul Joppa on the left, John Tucker on the right.

John Tucker's Exemplar Audio room. Certainly some of the best sound of the show.

This is Jon VerHalen of Lowther America. Looks like a got Jon with his eyes closed but there was a lot of eye/ear candy in the room. The few cuts I heard when I was in the room was a piano recording that sounded perfect, an accomplishment for any loudspeaker.

Jon will have to fill me in here. I don't know the details of the drivers or the cabinet construction. Certainly one of the show's highlights.

Here are the best looking people at the show. The guy in the middle is sleeping.

More to come.... I have to take care of some business.
