Bolder Power Supply transformer hum
«

I have owned a fully-modded SB2 + Deluxe Power Supply for several years but up to now hadn't noticed the transformer hum because it was far away from the listening position. I now have the system installed in my bedroom and this is the only component that hums like a beehive. The transformer can't be moved because it is clamped to the bottom of the enclosure by four bolts. Some ideas other than shutting it off (I use the SB as an alarm clock) or covering the PS with a thick towel for the night?

What happens when you hook up the stock power supply?
Cheers

Thanks Wayne, will do.
Charles, I don't remember what I did with the stock supply, maybe I trashed it.
