Hello,
I wanted to hit up the forum to get your opinions. I'm looking to get a DSLR, and I'm thinking Nikon, I just prefer their ergonomics and controls (though I am open to others if need be). I am very familiar with film SLRs, other digital SLRs, and digital cameras in general. I work full time doing web/graphic design and I took 4 photography courses in college, so I'm comfortable in Photoshop, using RAW files, shooting in full manual mode, etc. I will not be shooting professionally, it's just for personal use. I have just a single 50mm 1.4 lens on a Canon film SLR that I don't need to use with the digital, I'll just keep it on the film camera as is (I know I contradict myself here with Nikon v. Canon).
The main reason I haven't purchased a DSLR yet is because I am a sucker for the biggest viewfinder I can find. The digital rebels and similar cameras take great photos, but I am always disappointed in their viewfinder size. What DSLRs (preferably Nikon) would you recommend for viewfinder size? There aren't many camera stores nearby, and I'm looking at used models too, which are hard to find and try out. I don't care about resolution, anything 6mp+ is fine, and I will always be shooting RAW. The D70s is a steal used on eBay, it's like 450$. But, I've read the D80 viewfinder is significantly larger. The D80 goes for like 8-900. So, what do you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance,
Eric
