Well, it could be done. But I would have to make a special PCB.

Anyway, I think that $500 is now way too cheap. Using this post as a basis (and a few others along with it), we ought to charge $3000.

But then, we should also sell our $200 cable for $600-$800.

We don't. So no more kvetching about price.

I especially like this part:

"Note: Parts count is irrelevant. A good circuit that performs is priceless."

Keep in mind that some of us don't have to atone for being a horse's butt for almost a whole year to go. So, don't get me going on cheepnis.

Pat

Pat,

Would you please accepting order now for $500 (I will send my Duet to you if I am not wrong) since I do not want to pay 3K later on.

No, not accepting any orders or prepayments. Honest.

Price will soon be increased to $4k, based on your suggestion. Gotta make up for all that money that went down in flames the last few weeks.

(Do any of you guys have a sense of humour?)

As for the WiFi card.........

I know it makes some of my measurements tough. I have to LPF all the test leads. The burst rate that it emits always gets into them. Sometimes hard to separate what is really on the supply rails that is getting in through the circuitry, and how much is just picked up from the air.

But, consider this:

The Duet has a ferrite bead in series with the analogue outputs. I have not looked at the output noise beyond 100 kHz, as that is the limit of my HP FFT machine. I'll look at it some later, and see what happens when I take out the ferrite. That will give me some idea. We do have a spectrum analyser that is good to 40 MHz. We have some that go to 22 GHz, but they have 50R inputs, and will not tolerate DC. I try not to connect them to any audio gear.

I think that we should consider this thread closed. A few of you with SB3 still at our shop will need to be contacted. I will conjure something up. I promise.

Just not what! Or when.
