Sold!

Based my original price on the other DT that sold at Audiogon recently, and notice now that it had a remote so I've lowered my price from $1050 to $925 or best offer - Thanks for looking!

Recently married and time to sell some of my amps - I've tried to explain how everyone has and needs 6 amps!

YBA Integre DT (dual transformers) in perfect condition, former Stereophile Class A rating and with good reason.  The YBA sounds great in my system with Merlin VSM-MM's, but I've recently purchased a Tact XDM to try and tame some room nasties, so it doesn't make sense to hang on to two integrated amps  (I could however be tempted to trade up for the Passion series if you have one - just to satisfy my curiosity on how it can be better than the DT.)

Original box and manual included.  YBA advises not using (interferes with the vibration draining), but includes three plastic furniture protectors for the three very nice feet - I've never used them and can only find one, but can search for the other two - worse case they look to cost pennies to replace.)

A DT listed for $1088 just sold on audiogon, so I'm thinking $925, OBO plus ship and any PP fees.  (or trade for the Passion as noted).

Perfect feedback at audiogon under same member name.

The YBA Integre DT is a wonderful integrated amplifier! I know because I have owned one for the last 7 years and it still sounds very musical. I have compared it to the Passion 100 (which is rated at 50 watts into 8 ohms as well) and can report that they both sound very different, with the Passion enjoying all the musicality of the earlier iteration but with more bass slam and power. It seems the Integre DT has a passive pre while the Passion has an active.

good luck with your sale!

Best regards
Dennis

Thanks Dennis.

I can understand why you've held on to the YBA for 7 years - it is a sweet amp that really surprised me with its performance.  I've owned mostly separates with the exception of a Joule Vamp a while back, and the DT motivated me to find an integrated with room correction (which my room sorely needs)  rather than a separate Room correction unit.

Funny you should mention the passive pre in the passion - my most recent comparison for the YBA is with my Belles Reference 150 A and a Placette passive - came down to hair splitting with maybe a slight nod to the separates on transparency for 4X the cost (what the Placette is well known for), and a smidgen of palpability and timber to the YBA.   If the Passion series is better, it must be incredible!  (though I did read one review where the poster did not think the diff was worth the diff in cost, but I'd like to find out for myself.)

That is worth every penny of the price - an outstanding integrated. Wish I were in the market for that sort of thing - I'd be all over it!

Then how does one explain having 9 out for repair at the same time? :P

I hope I'm making the right decision...don't have the TACT unit yet to make the comparison with the digital room correction, but I know my room measures poorly.  Of course there's always the Passion if the Tact doesn't work out!

Wow!  Sounds like your wife must be even more understanding than mine - no way I could get away with that and save any pretense to being normal about music and gear!
