Sorry, 2 quick questions on the 626's

1) what does MLS mean? (example: MLS 626 speakers, what's MLS?)

2) What are the benefits of the mega-woofer, does it extend the LF range below 42 Hz?

MLS = Mark L Schifter who is from Sound Arts where the cabinet is made.

The megawoofer has a heavier magnet, and lighter stiffer cone (Woven Carbon Fiber) as well a a few other things that make it a more accurate Bass Driver.

Brian can comment on whether or not it lowers the FR.

The 40oz 6.5" Megawoofer takes the 626 to 37Hz/F3.

The differance in sound is quickly apparent. I've had both versions and the megawoof model sounds much better, many folks would not feel the need for a sub. The 626 hits solidly. Make sure you stands are from 22 to 24" to get the "magic".
