I just need to have an SP3 to supply them now
Cheers
Thanks Alpha, you've probably seen this on AVForums but thought I'd post it on here as well, after the experiences I've had with the SP3 today in multi channel you really can't get a SP3 quick enough

Hi Guys,
Well I don't really know were to start after today, as at long last after a few hours of running cables under carpets, swapping all my system over to XLR and wiring up the Neutrik Speakon to set up the PMC DS-001's I've finally got to hear the SP3 in all it's multi channel glory.
I think it's fair to say that the SP3 is as an impressive performer with multi channel as it is with 2 channel, which in my book makes it a very special indeed.
Over the last few years through my time at TLC and Zinc I've had the privilege to play with a few processors, like the Denon AVP-A1 pre/power, Arcam 777/888, Pioneer Susano, the ADA Suite 7.1 and the Meridian 861v6, and I have to say the SP3 is up there with the very best, in fact, and I don't want to come across all fanboy, but my system has never sounded so good, having the MB2i's upfront with the CB6i centre and FB1i's as rears with the TLE1 sub just sounds phenomenal.
I watched 2 films today, just to test it out of course, Dark Knight, obviously a true reference disc that we've all seen many many times and Daybreakers, what hit me is the amazing clarity of the dialogue and the overall level of detail achieved, it really is something else, that's not to mention the surround steering, it's totally immersive stuff.
I have to say using the DS-001's for centre and surround duties works extremely well, obviously a 9B or a few Powerpacs would be great if money was no object but I'd consider the DS-001's to be a real bargain, they drove the CB6 and FB's effortlessly, and integrated with the 7B's perfectly, they give an extremely clean, uncoloured presentation that fits perfectly well with the SP3.
Finally, in 2 channel today, I did some back to back tests with the new Van Damme XLR's I got compared to my trusty Atlas Navigator RCA's and the difference was quite noticeable, not to the same level as when I tried the Chord Sarums at home, but I don't think that is a bad thing as after a while I got a little fed up with them as they seem to rob my system of any warmth, but with the Van Damme XLR's it really is as if a veil is lifted from the recording, you just seem to get more detail, clarity and insight into the recording. If you are running a Bryston system then these XLR's really are worth a punt as they don't cost the earth and can be a real worthwhile upgrade.
So I guess after changing so much in my system today it is a slight relief that it still sounds fantastic as it is always chance that you could ruin what you had before, but I really can't say enough about the SP3, a real 2 channel and multi channel performer, and that is no easy task.
