FS: Odyssey Stratos w/ upgraded caps (very misleading, I assure you)

FS is a black Odyssey Stratos "with upgraded caps." At least, that's how it was sold to me. This is an old Stratos and it did indeed have its caps upgraded according to the receipt/paperwork I saw in the box when I originally purchased it, but not to current upgraded cap standards. In interests of full disclosure, let me now say that to my knowledge, this Stratos was upgraded to the level of a current standard "un-upgraded" standard Stratos. It also doesn't have the light in the front panel, and the power light flickers (although if I can find the original box intact, there used to be an extra bulb in there, IIRC.) AFAIK, the manual and original paperwork and stuff should also be in the box. I don't remember if the unit came with a power cable, but I can dig one up, if you need it. I don't have aftermarket power cables, if you're wondering.
Now, I was had, but I'm not too bitter at the other guy, because it was my own fault for not doing my homework. Now I've done it for you. You know all that I know about this unit. I'll even tell you that it is my best guess that this is a "green board" unit as opposed to a "red board" unit. I don't know because I did not open it and have no desire to do so. I did email Klaus for more info once, but he never replied.
This thing is heavy. Local buyers, only. I am in Hacienda Heights, Greater LA area, 91745. I will need time to clean my place up and make it presentable for guests, so please keep that in mind before contacting me. Also please keep in mind that my room has abysmal bass response, meaning very little, so if you want to come here to listen to the thing, please keep that in mind, as well.
$500 please. That's less than I paid. Cash or paypal ok.
Pictures can be provided if required, but there's not much to show. The unit is cosmetically clean.
NOW $450, am I out of my mind? No, just lazy.

I wouldn't know if it had had a cap upgrade if I DID take the cover off - unless Klaus writes something inside there that indicates that it is so. What I DO/DID have is/was an invoice for the cap upgrade - but the capacitance upgraded to was, IIRC, what is now the current standard level of capacitance.
I do really like the amp and have enjoyed it very much over the last year or more. It has no weaknesses that I know of, and sounds very nice. Great dynamics and authority. I am only selling because I upgraded to a more costly amp and now need funds to cover a purchase for another hobby. Truth be told, I should be just selling the amp and putting the money into savings, but you know how it is...

Perhaps 'abysmal' is an unfortunate choice of words to describe poor bass:

Does that make abysmal bass response a good thing?

Well at least it's getting you to clean up your place - the amp is probably a good value for someone, I'm guessing

Perhaps if you removed the cover for some pics so buyers can see what upgrades have actually been done. 500 is a killer price for an amp of this caliber!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will consider doing that only if I get truly desperate or a potential buyer asks me to because I'd prefer not to open a commercial product that I am not keeping.

hi.....after owning 5 of Klauses amps and selling them ,it is important that the buyers know what Klaus put inside because he has many variations. It will help sell them

Is it safe to assume this amp has the 60,000 uF capacitance caps, or 120,000 uF, in the "upgrade", to be sure?

I will try to call Klaus soon and find out the details. I called once, but I think it was too early for Klaus! Sorry, Klaus, my fault. Klaus said it was probably ok in a PM to me, but to call him to confirm.
FYI, I seem to have misplaced the box and misc contents.
Amp is now open to shipping within the continental US.

Hey, $450 for a local no hassle sale. Price only available for people who don't hassle me
I've got meetings, practices, rehearsals, and events pouring out of my ears from here on out to October, so I just need to move this thing and get some money in my pocket. To refresh what there would be potential hassle about: apparently someone tossed the manual and box.
