For High-End 2 channels IMO the best sounds were in the room of Audio Note Japan and Reference Audio Mods (T.H.E. Show) and Modwright in Venetian. Some of the Italian amps (sorry I did not remember the names) were considered best sound too. For home theater IMO the best sounds were Sunny Cables (their wiring technology), Lyngdorf Audio and Waterfall Audio (with their silky sound).
