My fave rectifiers are identical to Philistine:Mullard (Sylvania) 5U4G (not B)Philips GZ32Mullard 5AR4 (distant third but nice midrange
Also, is the GZ32 you're using the brown base Mullard or the black base Philips or Dario? I've found the black base versions better fwiw.Rob
I dont think anyone here has tried a GZ37 yet, am I right?

Are they only labelled Sylvania? Or are you using the early '50s Mullard "High Wycombe" GZ37/CV378 = 5U4G? A very nice tube btw. Also, is the GZ32 you're using the brown base Mullard or the black base Philips or Dario? I've found the black base versions better fwiw.Rob
rpf, how do you fit a GZ32 in the 36.5? Are you running it with the top off? (sorry for going a little off topic)
