I'm waiting ...   Where's Part I?

Double Ugly

I have a strong suspicion your post and those to follow aren't long for this circle, John.

I don't know what your problem is, nor do I care.  This isn't this first time you've taken this path, so I can only surmise you believe Audio Central is some sort of dumping ground for your gripes and dislikes.  If so, it may interest you to know that isn't the case.

This thread is already treading water, so I suggest you carefully consider the content before submitting your next post.

Normally I'd have already sent this to the Intergalactic Wastebin, but I'm curious to see what happens next.

first off,i beleive i have been sucked into the audio blackhole where the gravitational pull only increases, even our wives (as hard as they try) can't pull us out.
as i stated awhile back, this is the week of Nov.19-Stratford General Hospital.
i have had much time to think about things, lots of things,so lets start with a few members, double ugly,i sense you are very passionate for both music and this circle,it is really to bad me and you couldn't just sit and talk over a cold beer some day,i am sure you would enjoy it,our meeting during my sale of the NOW well known BLUE BOARDS,WAS A NIGHTMARE,i tried to recover my money, well at the same time keep a promise to Klaus(keep the BLUE BOARDS a secret)...also the subject that you removed(and you did right),i put in the wrong word ACCIDENTALLY so i am sorry for that...
BUNKY-i hope you get the sound your after, and i am sure you will,if not you will have fun trying
Klaus Bunge, well what can i say,he knows what he is doing and stands by his product(and just for the record, there is nothing to find between the lines,he loves his people!!)

we only live once ,so enjoy our time here
thanks John

p.s. i do have some product reveiws and more thoughts ahead, but i am not out to BASH anyone.

7 posts in and I still don't see a relation between the thread's title and what's been said thus far.

Am I just stupid or something?

i do not wish to start any problems but i am sensing a few people have nothing better to do then cut down a person, says alot.
my first company:Odyssey Audio,product
1. FIRST IMPRESSION:the first one i bought was a used HT-3,as soon as i got it i was in "awh",big black and heavy, seemed to have lots of visual quality, hooked it up to a pair of Paradigm studio 40 and cc470,the center shut down, about 5 times to be exact.Klaus walked me through every moment,Great guy,but it will need a board......he was so good i bought a used set of Mono Extremes SE and an set of blue boards(new),these are some of the best amps i ever heard at the time and for Home Theater they will rock your world.....they are a full bang for the buck amp.i have never listened to any of their pre or speakers,i also think their amps make alot of 2ch people very happy.....all good
on the downside ,like any american product,us Canadians have to cross the boarder, and at $80 a pop it adds up for shipping ,so you wouldn't want a lemon.
i think the USA has a great company for americans.

2. my next move was a Bryston 14bsst,well this amp will compliment a good set of speakers, and also break them,in two.I put a set of Paradigm studio40 and 60 to get a 4ohm load on this amp and sold the speakers soon after, this amp would destroy these speakers if in the wrong hands, clear and clean right to the top.

3.well now i need speakers,so i got some PMC IB1's in black ash,let me just say these will push the 14bsst to the redline and you don't even know it,great sound and build, these are keepers for sure.i like high SPL and these are perfect for that.

i have not had any problems whatsoever with these products.

on the downside,as soon as i got the PMC's,Bryston and PMC split and this broke my heart, but we will move on.

3.Anthem AVM30 and D1 and Audio Research reference2 MK2,all were used in 2ch only, and all sounded great, each one a little better than the next, from 0-half volume, they all sound great but once you hit the 100-115db area i personally liked the D-1 because i like my tone controls,i will never again have a straight pre unless i have tone control, lesson learned, thats just me.if you get a good deal on a AVM 30,buy it,they are almost as good as a d-1,and i think the AR's are good, but $10,000,NO WAY!!!!!that is my opinion

Now ,along my path i have met some great guys,James Tanner-Bryston
BILL McCulloch audio in Winnipeg, well actually new him for a long time
Tim Munro at Sight and Sound in London Ontario

i have also ran into some crooked pricks, you know who you are and i will never and i mean NEVER recommend you or your business to anyone, and i don't plan on leaving the audio world.i think people should know that there are some out there and if anyone ever thinks that they are being had and are wondering if i had any kind of past accuantence,PM me ,tell me your situation and i will give you my opinion.i will not on the circle say so,so dont ask!!!

thanks for now
John

John,

If I am understanding your situation correctly, you purchased a used HT3 from a private seller which was a lemon from the get go, and your upset with Klaus because you had to pay for shipping to have the board replaced?

On another note, your experiences all worked out in the end as it appears your happy with your current rig.

If he answers in the affirmative, yooper, it will be via a private medium, and I don't mean of the psychic variety.

Right John?

You say you really like the Anthem D1 - but you just sold yours.  You were doing this last time around, too, weren't you?

...so as I was saying, the OP who seems to internet stutter hence the multiple replies in his own thread, hence getting some point across.  Seems to have some decent cash flow, at times, but is frugal (I commend).  Had to get a second hand item fixed  :duh: and is a sore spot, maybe he is not so flush after all.  Keeps going up the food chain, and is now enlightened.  Seem forethought was not a strong roll of the D&D dice for this OP.  As he now is wagging the dog as it were, and seems rather annoyed, hence my politics nod.  Aren't we all annoyed with our politicians no matter what our space time continuum.   So I will conclude with ......

MaxCast

John, if you're listening at 100-115db you've probably cut 80%  of the 2ch/home market out of your needs.  You've done well to visit the pro market.

John:

I hope that the reason you were or are going to the hospital has or will be very successful and I wish you a quick recovery.

Somehow, due to the nature and infrequency of your posts, I wonder if you enjoy stirring the pot (so to speak) here at AC?

Get Well Soon John!

Let me get this straight:

In the first post, he says (paraphrasing) there are bad guys in audio who are out to scam you, and he thinks it's important that people know about them.

Then, in post #11, we find out that he'd like to play a game. If you happen to think you might be being scammed by someone, send him a PM to see if your bad guy matches HIS bad guy, and you MAY get him to elaborate further about his view on HIS bad guy. But only if they match yours.
