Wishbone Ash or 'How The mighty have fallen'

I recall seeing Wishbone Ash in the 70's, at the time when Argus was voted the best album release in the UK,  in front of crowds of 2500+.  More recently I saw them this May when I was back in the UK for a few weeks, and their must have been at least 150 of us in the audience :thumb: - but they were great, they knew we'd all come to listen to the first four albums, and that's what we got!

I've just discovered they're touring the US during Nov/Dec, and will be just down the road from me Dec 6th.
Anyone who, like me, considers that the best music came from the Floyd/Zeppelin era I can thoroughly recommend this as a great night of nostalgia.

One of the very best concerts I've ever been to was Wishbone Ash back around 1974. Andy Powell is an incredible guitarist, as was Ted Turner and Laurie Weisfield. The song Warrior from the Argus album is one of my all time favorites. Andy's lead intro to that song is an absolute masterpiece.
I just checked their concert schedule and they're not coming any where near the Seattle area.  :cry:

My  all time favorite guitar rock band. Saw these guys with ELP in 74

Thanks for the link Lonewolfny42. I'm putting that one on my wish list. F.U.B.B. is another great song showcasing their prodigious guitar playing talents. I remember just before playing that song in concert Andy explaining what F.U.B.B. stood for :lol:.
The remastered reissue of Argus is also a must have for anyone who is a fan of this band. Includes some bonus tracks originally from their Live Dates album.

Well, recording in Florida in the 70s it was kind of hard to avoid the drug thing so you could say that title is a comment on the general state of mind during the recording sessions.
