The Pioneer PDP-5010FD ($3450) will run you about a cool grand over the excellent Pioneer "Kuro" PDP-5080HD ($2450).

Either is a great choice.

I agree that both are excellent.  However the PDP-5010FD and PRO-110FD are 1080p.  The 50-inch PDP-5080HD and Elite PRO-1150HD are 1365 x 768.  They look fantastic also.

I've been looking at the Pioneer PDP-6010FD - decided I can do a 60" if I move it up a bit, as suggested.

Any opinions on the LG 60PY3D?  Almost $1000 cheaper than the Pioneer, and some prefer the picture.  True 1920x1080p.

The wife & I stopped at BB this evening to check out the TVs.  Short story shorter, the Pioneer is the best by a good margin.  Their 60" plasma looked better than the Panasonic and the LG.

Questioned settled.
