Okey dokey, I bought a set of these a couple of weeks back, popped them on (with the intention of A/B testing) and was KNOCKED OVER by just how amazing these things are! These things are staggeringly impressive! The improvement in midrange clarity and immediacy (snare, guitar, handclap) is the real bonus - on top of HUGE image improvement and real bassline legibility, voices too just hang in the air and have a 'there' clarity to them - a seriously excellent product at the price of 3 CDs (and that's to the UK from Texas too!). Astounding! Thanks Jim!
Hehehehe, put them on - never took them off. Mate, these things are AMAZING! The change (read; improvement) in sound has completely knocked me for six! The largest change was a vast improvement in imaging, I have the depth of image I used to have with my Martin Logans - something I never thought possible with a dynamic speaker. Then there's the bassline legibility, seriously the slight mist has now evaporated and the bass notes start and stop with an unnerving clarity. Then there's the crack of the snare drums, the click of the rimshots and the strum of the classical guitars - all so much clearer than before. I'm not sure exactly of the science, but one thing's for sure - this is the best £28 I've ever spent mate! Top stuff Jim, thanks so much. Is there a reason why the pad has to be so big? It covers almost the entire speaker width. Can it not be just a small ring around the tweeter?
