Thank you, Keenween, for saying.  I've begun to offer in black and charcoal.  Actually, I can offer in as many colors as there is commercial dye available to match your speakers.  I would require only that a person pay for the dye and the gas to go get it, say, six bucks (?).  I live in the country.  And I can size them to fit inside a speaker grill.

Hi, Matty, this is the best I can produce.  This study is made on axis using some two way standmount speakers made by Danny Richie of GR Research along with his succinct comment.  Danny is also one of the principle designers of the crossover used in the Usher brand of speakers.  In the high end on axis there is no change to the test speaker (I am the blue line) but in the area of the crossover (2.2kHz) and appreciably beyond a smoothing of peaks and valleys can be seen.  There is a more linear transition from the mid into the treble and that has benefits to transparency and tonality.  This is audible.

40 degrees off axis I can tell you that there is a gentle downward slope above the crossover.  As stated in a reply above, waveforms hitting our side walls and being reflected to our seat are reduced in level.   You can see/hear deeper into the soundfield and appreciate more of what is there because it is being less obscured or misshapen.

There is also a benefit in the time domain.  Short and spreading waveforms that would otherwise be reflected by our naked baffles and edges and arriving out of time and phase where we sit "see" the organic wool instead and are absorbed.

Yesterday, I visited a customer of mine with Eggleston Andra II speakers with Dynaudio Esotar tweeters in a nicely tricked out room.  Wow.  Very wow.  I asked him what he thought his surrounds were contributing and he said they give his system the kiss of live music, that he would recommend them to anybody.  And as of today, it pleases me to be able to say that the only continent where I don't have customers in Antarctica.  Thank you all and happy listening.

Thank you for that, sir.  Never fails to make me happy when I've helped bring a man and his music more closely together.  Info about what is taking place can be seen in the Industry Ads circle.  I make them from real wool imported from South America for its absorption properties.  In my listening experience, anything less is insufficient or worse.

They allow your speakers to be more transparent.  Stage really gets to develop and instruments shape up and separate out dimensionally and they will smooth out your frequency response where diffracted waveforms are summing in.

Teddy-  Hi.  I must admit I went to sleep on this but now I'm awake.  Funny thing is another SP Tech Mini customer contacted me day before yesterday (friend of yours?) bout taming his tweet.  Don't know if that is specifically his problem but I replied that we could give it a go and that I would propose lining the guide and/or damping the baffle where the guide terminates as Windchaser suggested.  I'm gonna get to work on this but as he hasn't replied I may need you to help me with some measurements and I'll shoot you a prototype type or two.  Cool?
