Conversion of Oneac outputs help?
« on: 23 Oct 2007, 06:47 am »
Hi guys,

Do you guys know if the output of the OneAC power conditioner can be converted from 120Vac to 240Vac and vice versa?

I'm thinking of getting a CB1120 to use with my 240Vac rated equipment. Looking at the operating manual, it seems like it is possible to do the conversion.

Has anyone opened up any OneAC power conditioner and looked at them or done any conversion before?

Any help is very appreciated.

Many thanks!
Ken

I'd get a hold of them. Be careful. I know I've seen power conditioners for 240. Look on Ebay.

The  CB1120 does not output 240vac, it is 120vac in/out only...
here is a handy dandy url that lists the characteristics of various OneAc products -
http://www.oneac-powercom.com/60HzPowerConditioners.html#

What exactly are you trying to do? run 240vac components off 120vac, 240vac? What type of components? What power draw? What level of powerconditioning do you want?

If you're in the NYC area, PM me... my wife wants some ugly (her words, I think them elegant) transformers out of the house.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the inputs.

I'm planning to do a conversion of the OneAC output from 120Vac to 240Vac to power the gears that I got with 240Vac input. Looking at the manuals at OneAC website, it seems possible but I'm couldn't confirm that. The manual says the output voltage are convertible since the transformer inside has mutiple taps at the input/output.

I'm hoping if anyone had opened any before and confirmed that the transformer is indeed having multiple tappings.

Thanks!
Ken
