Tried a Nikon 45mm P pancake yesterday...

Came *this* close to buying it. Unfortunately it was attached to a body I really didn't need.

Very interesting lens. Manual focus, operates just as you would expect on an MF-Nikon body (my FE-2 for example) but when whacked onto my D40 the metering works still! It behaves like an AF lens -- have to set aperture in the camera, not using the aperture ring. Works in program mode and the whole bit.

Anyway, so that's what I didn't buy this week. You? ;)

I have one of those, it does take nice pictures ... but I have a lot of lenses that take nice pictures ;)  I keep it mainly because it's soooo cute.  It doesn't get used much though.

Is it lonely? I know where it can find a nice FE-2 to get friendly with ;) :D
