Vinnie,

Have you given any more thought to offering the Isabella's DAC as a stand-alone item?

If so, can you give some details?  Price?

Thanks.

Hi Wally King,

Yes, I am highly considering offering this, but I will not have the time to get this into production until after the Isabella + dac combo unit is in production.

As with the Isabella, I still need to finalize pricing and should be able to do so by the end of this month.

Best regards,

Vinnie

Vinnie--

If I'm running an RWA-modded Olive into the Isabella (then to a Sig 30.2), will I notice any difference if I use the Olive to play actual CD's, as opposed to music ripped to the hard drive?  Will the DAC do its magic on either source?

Thanks,
--George

Hi George,

I have found it best to rip your music onto the Olive's hard drive (lossless or WAV files) and playback from the hard drive.  I found that this sounds better than playing directly from the CD drive (and is much quieter).

This is the case no matter if you use the modded Olives analog outputs, or feed the digital output into another dac (such as the Isabella's).

Best regards,

Vinnie
