Breaking News: The new Quantum Reference Speaker Cable filter will be available in July. The QRSC filter does wonders to clean up RFI/EMI in speaker applications. Unlike typical speaker cable filters that inject added brightness into the signal, the QRSC remains neutral, increases low level resolution and extension, tightens bass, enhances natural midrange warmth, detail and texture, increases top end extension, sweetness, and detail.

The price for a pair should be roughly $450. No pixs until I dress the package, but the case is 2.5" x 1.5" x .8"...its very small. Currently I'm using Eichmann copper bayonet plugs, but spades can be ordered as well. I plan to add Velcro on the rear of the case for easy mounting.

I love the huge soundstage these babies throw, but they need a good 500 hours of burn-in before they sound at their best. The QRSC offers full bodied sound with unbelievable harmonic richness.

How is the new Quantum filter working out?

A couple of pages back I see a company you use for surge protection, namely Electronic Specialties. Anyway I got in touch with them and they are looking into custom making a laboratory grade, 8 socket surge/filter power strip with New Zealand sockets for myself. Now when they come back to me they want to know if it's to be 10,15 or 20 amp.Since you are familiar with their products would you mind suggesting one.On to your own products, would the quantum ac be just as effective plugged into the power strip as opposed to a wall socket or is there a better way to optimize.

I would recommend a 20 amp model.

Update: Only a few Reference II filters left in stock. The next time I will be offering the Reference II will be early July.

The first Infinity product will be offered in July. I would be interested in the new feet. I am currently using a mix of Herbie's feet and isonodes under my components. I also would like to know how these Infinity filters would work on ribbon power cords. I have a pair of Fusion Audio copper foil/ribbon hybrids on my monoblocks. The ribbon cords are plugged into a dual outlet Hotbox with Alan's Reference power cord to the wall. Under that is a standard PE. I look forward to hearing the feedback from the beta testers.

We have two models coming out to handle a variety of different weight requirements.

NOTE: After the feet have been installed they require 72 hours to adjust to the room and component temp to maximize the damping properties.

The large feet are good for all components between 40 and 80 lbs., speakers, computer/HTPC, etc.

Infinity creates negative ions when in close proximity to a EM field, it will remove static generated noise from the ribbon cables.

I must have either strange hearing or strange wiring in my house. I currently have four standard PE and one Reference II walwarts throughout my house and they all seem to sound the best when plugged in series. Anywhere after( parallel) the sound becomes dull while diminishing dynamics. I tried especially hard in the kitchen( fridge,microwave,etc.) but all sounded too dull. Oh well. I really like all the PE units where they are now. It is interesting how even though they all need a good amount of time to settle in, the key is to find that one brightest outlet and listen for about 10-15 minutes and you'll know if it is going to work in that outlet. I have really appreciated what this new Reference II has done to the overall sound. Great realism and brings out the natural color and texture of instruments and voice. I like it. Oh, and Alan's new Reference power cord has been a nice addition as well. Don't forget to put the QSG on all your contacts. This is a must-have icing to your cake. aa
