The Monster main duplex is the right place to start with a S/AC unit.  A second S/AC should eventually be plugged into the Monster to balance the circuit.  Last, I would look at adding a V IEC per component.

NEWS:  The new PE Quantum filter is becoming more and more impressive by the day.  As many of you know we teamed up with Bybee last March to design a new filter series and I'm just getting around to development now.  The PE Quantum will be the first filter in the Dominator series....The quantum filter is an excellent addition to our PE and Reference series and should be considered the next step up from the V.  The circuit will be enclosed in one of our wall wart cases, but don't let size fool you, the circuit is super powerful and offers a tremendous upgrade in system performance.  Right now I'm just getting a handle on the benefits of the new design, but so far I'm super impressed and very excited about the possibilities of the latest design.

The PE Quantum offers a gigantic leap forward in the WOW factor.

Test application: 45 feet from the system outlet. In between the PE Quantum and system outlet I have 3 Reference One filters, 2 Hammond 193M chokes, 1 Surge Interrupter in parallel, 1 Dominator main power cord, and 1 PE V Pro Custom prior to the Plitron NBT isolation transformer.

Just an update...I now have 4 PE Quantum filters installed...1 non-a/v circuit, 1 a/v circuit primary, 2 a/v circuit secondary.  The secondary side has 1 installed per RPC units (first outlet).

The filter is knocking my socks off by a wide margin...very excited about the possibilities...details, articulation, and transient response are startling.  The marriage between the PE Quantum and RPC is excellent and should definitely be considered the next upgrade for RPC and RPC v2 owners.

Yesterday I started testing physical distance, the filter topped out at 573 feet, which is excellent for the wall wart series....more than double the distance of the original PE and 200 additional feet over the upcoming Gen 2 version of the PE....very impressive.

Filter bandwidth is up to 22 GHz @ -75db.

It has already been decided we will start taking pre-orders in December after I get off the road with Coop.  More than likely we should be able to get the pre-orders out before the Christmas holidays.  If interested contact Jen mid-November for pricing.  We will also have a small inventory of PE Quantum IEC filters available....I will talk more about this filter in the next couple of weeks, but if you like the V IEC, then you're going to love the the PE Quantum IEC...stay tuned.

Alan the new filter sounds great. A couple of quick question.  1) What price point are you shooting for with the new PE Quantum. 2) Is it a better first filter purchase then the PE V s/ac.
Thanks!   Paul

The PE Quantum is very cool and very expensive to build, I would expect the price to be around $350....I will have a definite price before I take off next month.  More than likely we'll probably knock a couple bucks off for early buyers.

The S/AC is still recommended as the first purchase....it's a great filter.  Each filter model in our arsenal benefits from the other, no AM design filter purchase becomes obsolete...all our filters couple to one another and build off each other.  Keep in mind the filter action is really not the box, it is an interaction that takes place in the house wiring between filter product A and B.  With that said, every single filter in our line helps the other and continues to extend the in-wall filter bandwidth and noise reduction specs.

I use 4 PE Quantum's in concert with multiple Pro Customs....both filters do different things and compliment one another very well.  I also use the Quantum with Hammond chokes, Quantum Symphony and Pro, Reference Power Center, and a Plitron NBT isolation transformer.....the PE Quantum works great with all.

Alan,

Can't wait to experience the PE Quantum's.  Tuning my house AC with your existing PE's and your invaluable guidelines has brought consistent satisfaction to my stereo and video performance, a single most important achievement that no component upgrade or room treatment could have done.  The sudden emerging of musicality and vibrant pictures from my current modest sound setup and TV's has made me delay purchases of newer "better" components.

Thank you.

Good to hear everything worked out.

I recommend trying our IEC filters to maximize component performance, and then look at a pair of PE Quantum's for starters.

The Quantum's appear to have about a 14 day stabilization process.  These work great for anyone who is a fan of the ERS/Shakti Stone/Quantum Disrupter tweak at the circuit panel, Hammond choke, Reference One, PE series, and our Reference power and interconnect collection.

OK Gents...I stopped taking orders so I can get some things done before I take off next week.  Jen will start taking pre-orders on everything starting Nov 15.  She has a couple business trips coming up over the next few weeks, I'm sure she'll answer emails when time is available, best to email after Nov 10.

In the meantime i updated the home page with the upcoming products for the Nov 15 pre-order.

NOTE: The gen 2 products rollback prices and upgrade performance....we have radically transformed the PE and PEII filter designs.

As long as the mail system works for us I expect the earliest ship date to be Dec 9-12.

Don't forget to order the 08' shirts, all shirt sales will result in a 20% discount on your next order.  This is a pet project of mine, all proceeds will be donated to Veteran Affair groups....We are trying to raise as much money as possible, so please put one of these shirts on your short list for the holiday season....I plan to donate my entire salary from the upcoming tour so we will have enough to match all funds raised.

Take care and I'll talk to you all on the flip side.

I'm back.  We are offering a 10% holiday sale on all inventory until Dec 31 or while supplies last.  The pre-orders for the Quantum filter are over, I will offer the filter again in early 09'.  Some of the parts used in the design are manufactured in limited quantity from the vendor, with that said I will offer the filter as the parts are available.

The PE III is back new and improved...the fall in metal prices have allowed us to bring the PE III back at the original price and upgraded to the v2 design.  Check the web site after the new year for details.

I will be available for AM design orders between now and early Feb 09', after that I will be in and out over the next few months.  I already signed on to a couple small European tours during Feb and April.  Pending Jen's deployment schedule this year, I will probably stay home with my daughter during that time, so I will be able to continue product development.

09' will see the maximum bang for the buck designs come back.  I started last July to pick up development on a few ideas I started earlier in the year.  The new outlet shield is a good example of maximum true audiophile/videophile performance on the cheap.  The shield slips over the rear of the duplex outlet, it can be grounded or non-grounded, and is capable of reducing noise up to 25GHz -85db.  The outlet shield puts many mega buck ($5000+) PLC's to shame.  I tested the shield in numerous applications and was stunned by the improvement over what I was already using for system filtering.

Another cool product coming out in early 09' is the new small/large isolation foot.  Both feet deal with mechanical vibration and harmonic frequency in both horizontal and vertical planes....the foot is a zero rebound design.

The long awaited DIY PE will be available as of early Jan 09'.

The new Isolated Digital Reference Cable Series....this cable family kicks some serious booty at any price.  Nothing presently in the market, at any price, comes close to the noise floor offered by the cable series....guaranteed.   Last night I plugged the isolated power cord and the IC into the Benchmark Dac1 pre....I have added a lot of things to the Dac1 over the months to get it to perform beyond it's price point, and this set up without a doubt is the best I have ever heard...period....I'm talking about high-end dacs, headphone amps, preamps......this combination (Isolated Digital Reference Power Cable, Isolated Analog XLR IC, small isolation foot x 4, Benchmark Dac1 pre) sets the new standard in affordable killer digital audio.  I had Jen order the WireWorld flat USB cable last month...I tested it last night against the Kimber and several others I had on hand.....for those looking for a good sounding USB cable, the WireWorld USB sets the new standard under $200.  In all honesty it looks like a shielded sata cable with USB ends, but without cutting it open I can't confirm.....I put a 1.5m on the external drive and a 5m from the pc to the dac.....length does not appear to effect sound quality.  I also tested the 1.5m from the pc to the dac to confirm my findings.  Hopefully WW will release a couple more models, but for the price the cable kicks some serious booty...please excuse my language....everything on this tour was booty this and bum that...don't ask...it's the things we don't talk about at parties

The last thing to talk about is the new active speaker cable....I combined several designs together that I have worked on over the years to offer a very good maximum bang for the buck product.  I am still working on the financial details, but more info will come after the holidays.

With that all said, I should have all the pre-paid orders out the door before the end of the week.  Mail in orders will be shipped after payment clears our bank.  Average clearing time is 3 to 5 days.

Take Care....

Welcome back Alan. What is the price of the outlet shield? How does it fit with the ERS tweak from Jen which mysteriously dissappeared above and is now N/A?

The outlet shield is a combination of 3 different materials.  ERS has a limited bandwidth that it is effective...the outlet shield is a combination of our Reference magnetic material used in the Ref One and RPC designs combined with 2 other materials to increase bandwidth, noise suppression, and harmonic ring damping.  Price wise I would expect the shield to sell around $40.

How did the interconnects settle in?

Where would one put the outlet shield(s) to get the $5000 PLC equivalent gain? When will they be available?
