The PE V Pro replaces all the filters you have installed on the circuit with the exception to those installed in the power conditioner. You should use the left over filters to voice the power conditioner output, pending the type of power conditioner you own. Passive filters don't need additional PE's installed, but transformer based and regeneration units require PE's on the output for additional voicing/circuit balancing. Any extra filters not used for a power conditioner should be used to damp other circuits in the house. The install is a win win for total house filtration because it opens up filters on hand and eliminates the troubles of main circuit tuning. All you need to do is plug the PE V Pro into the bottom receptacle of the system duplex and allow it 14 days (minimum) to set up. A full break in requires 3 weeks. We use QSG as part of the Pro design to damp wire terminations, so the QSG treatment might require additional time for a full break in. In A/C applications we usually see a full break in of QSG around week 3/4.
Note: The PE V Standard and IEC require 12 to 15 days for a full break in. The filter is parallel and does not require the component to be turned on during break in.
The PE V Standard and IEC are used in addition to filters already installed on the main circuit.

You have other options you can look at if you don't want to un-install the PE's already tuned on the circuit, you could look at the IEC or power cord version to be used as a component isolation filter. The PE V has multiple placement options and applications. Just like the PE used with the monitor liberator, the PE V can be used to act as a massive isolation filter for a particular component. If room is a problem in your audio rack to support the size of the IEC case (8" x 4.5" x 2.75"), we are also looking at the idea of a in line filter that your component power cord plugs into, same concept, used as a massive single isolation filter for the component and a parallel filter to anything plugged into the shared circuit. If any of these suggestions sound like something you might be interested in, email us and let us know which option works best, we can tailor the PE V for any situation, that's the nice thing about built per order, anything can be done within reason.

Can you replace the second PE IV with a PE for circuit balancing? Only 5 duplex outlets on the rear, correct? It should be PE II > PE (or PE III) > PE IV > PE (or PE III) > PE II. After the V install if you still need a little warmth you could swap one of the PE's for a PE III, but I don't think that will be necessary.
