Olive Musica or Cambridge 640H??
« on: 12 Sep 2007, 10:23 pm »
I am in the market for a music server, and I can't decide between the Cambridge 640H and the Olive Musica (OPUS N 3). Is there any compelling reason to choose one over the other?

Thanks!

I think Olive has discontinued the Musica as it isn't on their website anymore. Anyone know what happened?

The Musica is now called the Opus No3 (305 is 160GB, 307 is 250GB).  They are identical to the Musica inside and out, but with a new name.  I believe this has something to do with the parent company (Hermstedt in Germany) no longer being involved with the Music Servers.  Olive will continue to built them...

Best regards,

Vinnie

Do a google.  Not a lot of user satisfaction with the Cambridge.

Thank you for the info Vinnie, much appreciated. I have had my eye on the Musica so was a little put off when it seemed they had discontinued it.

Regards,
John
