All,

I received a call from Louis this weekend regarding some bad news.  His parents were recently involved in a car accident in Greece and were both injured.  Louis will be leaving Monday (tomorrow) to visit them at the hospital in Athens.  He mentioned that he probably won't be back for 10 to 14 days.  Luckily, his parents are going to be ok with recovery time. 

While Louis is away in Greece, all Omega sales, manufacturing and shipments will be on hold.  During this time, I will be here to help out on this forum to the best of my abilities and will be helping out with Louis' emails so he won't be bombarded when he returns.  Please contact me (vinnie@redwineaudio.com) with any urgent matters than you might have and I'll try to help, but if I cannot, at least I'll keep an organized list for Louis to go through when he returns so it will be a lot easier on him to get back in the swing of things...

It is sad to see that someone as hard working and devoted to this business as Louis is finally gets a little time off, but under such unfortunate circumstances.  I know I speak for everyone here in wishing Louis' parents a quick recovery and Louis a safe trip.

Hi All,

Thank you very much for your warm and caring posts about my parents. I appreciate this so much.

They are doing better and my fathers injuries will take a bit a time. I hope to have them back in a couple of months. Progress is slow but they are getting better each day. I may go back again to bring them back, but don't know when.

I won't be able to go to RMAF this year as I need to stay in CT.

Many thanks to Vinnie for helping me out so much while I was gone and you are a true friend.

It took a while to get back in the swing of things and sorry about this. I will be getting more news up very soon and updates to the site.

I recently spoke with Louis.  His parents are still in Greece and his father has been in pretty bad shape (but *is* recovering in the hospital) and this has certainly occupied a lot of Louis' time and been very emotionally draining for him and his family.

He asked me to post here that he will be getting back to posting on his forum soon and he apologizes for delays in responding to your posts.

I spoke with Louis today and his father's health has taken a turn for the worse.  His chances of survival are slim now. 

Louis is very close with his family and as you can imagine, this has been a very difficuilt time for them, and I am hoping for the best.

He told me that his father encouraged him to start Omega and he even purchased his table saw.  Rest assured, Louis has a lot of great ideas for 2008 and he told me that he is planning on growing Omega and I know he will make his father very proud! 

I will keep everyone posted.
