Thanks for posting the pictures Rick. They look very nice. What are the two woods and what finish did you use? Is there an acoustic reason for the tapered cabinet?
I know this was asked before, but now that they are complete, any initial impressions on how this design compares with the SSR?Also, were this to be converted to a WWMTM, any speculation on differences between this and the RC5?

OK I got it, thanks. I sent you another. I look forward to reading your response tomorrow.
The Scan-Speak 8" is an exceptional driver. We just completed a project using it for Paul Kittinger in a MLTL design (Paul assisted with the Salk Song Tower TL cabinet engineering) and Paul is raving about the results

When you're ready to reveal more information, I'm all ears.
Now that looks like good place to spend a weekend. Nice looking speakers. He did a nice job on them. Bet they sound good too.

Hello Rick, I have a couple of questions about this design. You wrote earlier that the SSR would have more bass than this design yet the specs on your web site would appear to indicate minimal difference. Could you elaborate ? The vertical response graph on your website seems to indicate this design could be used on stands that put the upper woofer at ear height rather than having taller stands to put the tweeter at ear height. Is this a reasonable conclusion ? This design looks a bit like it is really to be used with extra woofers? Could you comment on the pros and cons of this design relative to the SSR ( other than cost ) as a stand alone speaker ?Thanks Mike Anderson
