Has anyone used the Behringer SRC2496 upsampler??
« on: 4 Aug 2007, 10:42 am »
Dear AC members,

Reading through the Behringer's website I noticed they sell the SRC2496 upsampler which can convert any digital input into a 24-bit 96 kHz digital output.  It costs only $130!  Has anyone used this in combination with their DEQ2496?

For ~$400 one can pontentially purchase both units (SRC2496 and DEQ2496) and have a upsampling and digital equalization.

Best,

John

I haven't heard them, but Scott Endler thinks they are awesome and you might enjoy this link:

I use the combination, followed by a Bel Canto DAC3.  The DEQ does seem to be happier with an upsampled signal to work with.  I think, but wouldn't swear, that it sounds a little better with the SRC set to 88.2 than to 96 kHz.
