Audio forums: are they getting boring?
« on: 3 Aug 2007, 09:52 am »
Is it just me or are audio forums getting really boring?

I stop visiting forums for a while because the topics were turning me off.

The topics seem to be getting old. Anyone have the same problem?

Anyway I'm off to make another cocktail.

NAVI or IVAN,

I think there are way too many cables that cost way too much.  How do they justify charging that much money? aa

The forums are less boring if you are doing a project where you can get guidance or ideas, learning, doing some research on whatever or helping someone. Other than that, you skip over the rest.

There of course are some threads of great entertainment value.

Generally I follow only about 10 threads total on all the audio forums I visit.

Wait.  This is in the Aussie Pie.  So this just means that things are boring down under, right?

Actually, I do have questions for the Aussies.  Is Penfolds Grange any cheaper down there locally?

How much are you paying for Grange? it cost about (current vintage) 400-500 a bottle in Australia- I think it's over priced- Go the Rockford Basket press shiraz or Tahbilk 1860 vines shiraz

I visit Stereo.net.au down under and have had some nice conversations with members about Aussie wine, hifi, and music.  Jazz is pretty popular there.  I did my thing for a fellow using Osborn speakers and retrofitted for some Dunlavy's.  Too soon to comment about the Osborns as that's been very recent and it can take 3 weeks for mail to arrive from the US.  That's a highly regarded local speaker, I'm told, so I'm interested in the result.  G'day!
