Tubes last a long time!!! 300 volts on the screen!
I think its a safe bet that they pack quite the power. "music power" is more like 180w than 120w actually.
Simple, well made ,functional design. Efficient!
Has damping factor of about 8 from the 4 ohms taps, which you should use. Half that from the 8 ohms taps.
A gem!

I really liked these amps. 100% reliable, great looking, easy to bias (if you take care around the hot tubes) and terrific sounding. See my review on 10Audio.com.

Happy listening.

I too had a pair of these for a while way back. Nice amplifiers, reliable and user friendly. Quick Silver makes some nice products.

I borrowed a pair of the Mini's to listen to maybe 18 months ago. Amazing what Mr. Sanders can do.

My only experience with the V4 was years ago when they were driving the Vandy 5 that I auditioned at a local dealer.  Both amp and speaker were unfamiliar to me, but suffice it to say that I was blown away.  So much so that since that experience, the Vandy 5 has remained on my speaker lust list as a must have.....someday!

And the V4 have always intrigued and tempted me, but I have never pulled the trigger on the few pair I've seen on AG over the years.

I have owned the V4s for a couple of years now. Went through a lot of tube and solid state amps before settling on these. They are quiet, reliable and very musical. I've tube swapped a number of times just set the bias, make fine adjustments the next listening session and thats it - the bias doesn't drift at all! I've used them with Vandersteens, JM Lab, Totem and Gallo speakers, numerous preamps and cables. Of all the preamps I've used the Quicksilver preamp was not the best match - I have no idea why but the top end was a little zippy and the mids shallow. I now use a Modwright SWLP 9.0SE which is a very good match but a Sonic Euphora PLC also was very musical with the V4s. Bottom line: they are amps you can build a system around and have no regrets!  :thumb:

I have only heard them.  They were playing Quad 22L, which is a fine speaker, but hardly full range.  I am very familiar with these speakers.  I have never heard these speakers play any better.  I did not think they were that fast, had as tight a bass, or as open and extended highs.  Quad dynamic speakers fall in the "accurate" camp.  With some SS amps this means that the 22L can sound a little dry, annalytical and also bright.  I heard none of that when the V4s were driving them.  The sound was very refined, but very quick and immediate, not harsh, but real. It was a bit closer to the sound of AN equipment-that's the only way i can put it.  I was right there with the music.  I won't say anything about the mids, because that is hardly ever an issue with tube amps.  But OK, the mids were smooth, refined and detailed.  I hesitate to say, warm.

You might also take a look at their new Triode amp.  I have not heard it, but if you can by with 50 WPC (but with huge rails), I am sure it also sounds fantastic.
