What speakers have the LOWEST WAF Factor???

I mean speakers that might be well respected for their sound, but the wife's head would do a 360 and spew the words "GET OUUT!" in a demon voice.

I hate to even say it but my wife really doesn't like the Salk HT3's. She thinks they look like coffins.

She has also put the NEVER tag on RMX and RM40's.

I think that the bigger and more intrusive, the lower the WAF. So something like AvantGarde horns are among the lowest WAF.

And as much as I like the way they sound, I have to say that the Green Mountain Continuum 3 is one ugly speaker ("ET on a mailbox")...

Oh, I can answer that one for my wife.
It happened when she came home and found my Model 19 Altecs in the middle of the 13' square living room, playing WAY too loud.
If I hadn't of been listening to them out by the street, I might have gotten hurt!
(let's not tell her they are in the attic!)

It depends. I am sure not many wives are fans of the big horn speakers but if you were to put them and her in a $10 million mansion I suspect the WAF will be very high

Anything DIY'd by a guy who can't make a straight cut, left exposed screws heads, glue squirting out from the seems, and left the rough MDF/Ply unfinished.

Most Vandersteens should be on the list. Not as bad as big horns but I'll never forget my wife's words when I removed the crates from the Meadowlarks that replaced the Vandy 3A's "They're pretty!". It was the way she said it that spoke volumes about the look of the 3A's.

Since my wife bought me Carver ALS Platinum's for my 40th birthday, they don't have the Low WAF they usually would.

I'm looking to upgrade speakers and when my wife saw the Salk's she said the same thing. But the RM40's are okay, smaller than the Carvers!

Of all the speakers that I've owned in the past 10 years, the only speaker that my wife hate is VMPS Super Tower. Beside the VMPS, she likes all of them and her favorite is Cain & Cain Abby.

I really can't say much on this one. My wife is really good about what I bring in the house. In fact, she was the one who WANTED me to bring the Usher D2 horns home and use them in our family room. She told me they were classy looking and sounded so good......... Hey, she's all about the music too. She's a keeper

I agree, but you gotta start em young.

The Salks are a little boxy, but a lot nicer than the true pet coffin Legacy Focus. You could fit a large dog in there. Placed 'em 4 feet out from front wall and you better turn the lights on when walking around at night. Mine are disguised in rosewood veneer, so they make beautiful obelisks.

I am very lucky, she let's me do anything, and won't let me sell my speakers for smaller ones.

My wife said that my Reference 3A Royal Master Series II looked like something right out of Star Wars.

She also absolutely hated the Von Schweikert VR4 Gen III HSE that had cherry ends with light blue cloth wrap.

They were both very nice sounding speakers but ultimately they didn't look so hot.

My new Salk HT3 in Wenge were the first pair of speakers I thought to show to my wife before I ordered them. She loves them.

I definitely do not get the coffin comment about the HT3
