Oh wow that is sweet daygloworange, an Atom!  Awesome.  I'm not "into" cars, but that thing is bad ass.  I thought it looked familar, I had seen this awhile ago:

So how many times did your friend get pulled over on the drive from Arkansas I wonder?  Let us know how the test drive went!

He did get pulled over 3 or 4 times. The police just want to get a look at the thing.

The funniest story was when he was crossing the border into Canada. The girl working the border crossing asked, "Is that thing even legal to be on the roads?"

Here is a car that a really good client of mine bought earlier this summer. We took this thing for a burn for about an hour on some of the wickedest off ramps and cloverleafs we could find. The cornering ability of this car is way beyond anything I've experienced on the street. Bar none.

I suspect that the ArielAtom will beat it though.

Crazy stuff man.... :green:

Cheers

funny you should mention these two cars.  if i had disposable cash, the lotus would be my daily driver, & the ariel atom would be my play car!   :thumb:   of course, my dream kid hauler hasn't been posted here yet:

as it is now, i am seriously considering selling my '72 de tomaso pantera to fund a used elise.  but i think i will still be a few dollars short, so it's waiting...

yup, that's one sweet ride!   :green:  panteras are great rides for us middle-class bums that still wanna enjoy hand-made italian finery...   ford v8's get no respect in the snobby italian car world.  their loss!!!  :thumb:

Here is a rear shot of my Merc W124 E200D.

A bit murky shot, but it wasn't actually sunny this day!
A, what a sweet ride it is!

Very happy with it!

Little bit of shameless self promotion....

My buddies at Olympus just published one of my
shots on their website

...Nice Porsche shots!
Thanks..it rained that day & soon after it cleared I thought it gave me an opportunity to capture a different perspective of this car.  The rain/droplets effect turn out to be better than I expected especially close-up/bokeh :D.

Is that your 356?  Great car!  Always wanted one, but I got into the Porsche game
too late..  By the mid 90's they weren't affordable enough.  But I really love them!
Tons of personal style.

My buddy Jerry Seinfeld has about 40 of them!  It's mindblowing.  The police cars,
4 cam Carerras, you name it!

Id just love to have one!

Me as well :)!  The 356 belongs to a relative who did a full restoration work some years ago.  I was visiting them when I spotted the 356 on the driveway & I had my camera so decided to take a few pics of the beauty.
Here's a few more close-up pics...

I'd buy one if it had a useable trunk.
