The arrays consist of eight ribbon tweeters and eight Scan-Speak 7" Revelator woofers. The subwoofers are powered with 1000-watt amps and move quite a bit of air (four 10" Scan-Speak Revelator woofers per sub). This was the most satisfying system of anything I've ever built and I hated to leave it in Boston  :(

This particular system has a deluxe passive crossover with the option of being driven active / bi-amped with the owner's TacT gear. The arrays are configured for a 4-ohm load but also can be changed to 16-ohm if desired. The arrays are -3db@60hz and being a sealed box integrate very well with the subwoofers (also sealed).

Dare I ask what a system like this costs?

Including shipping (USA Mainland) the arrays are $12,995/pr. and the subwoofers are $7,200/pr.
I imagine most companies would sell the whole system for $50K+ so this is priced very reasonable.

Thanks Rick.

Seems quite reasonable given the components used as well as the build quality.

Nice system Rick.  I have a thing for 2pc per side arrays!  I agree some of the bigger names would be asking $40-50k for this.

Ever think about building a dipole array ?  A system based on two dipole arrays and four woofer arrays (setup as a DBA with the rear subs running inverted polarity and added delay relative to the fronts) of course with eight channels of DSP would be a most interesting reference system.

Nice to hear from you again and thanks for the kind comments. Dipole arrays are something I would like to investigate at some point if I can ever find the time
