I use Gallery 2 for my personal image gallery. It has an uploading client that I never tried until now. WOW. Drag and drop as many images as you want onto the client, press upload, and go do something else for a while. The client resizes before you upload. Sure beats uploading one by one with a web browser!

These photos are taken with a Nikon D40 and a Series E 50 mm lens. (Yep I'm still trying out manual focus lenses on the D40..... )

Anyway, for those of you that got this far , is there any interest in having an AC-hosted copy of Gallery 2? Why would/should this be better than flickr (or whatever you are using now)? Volunteers to manage it?
