eek - sorry Don....stressful time in my life both March and April - as I was moving from one house March 31, 'homeless' for 12 days until my new house began (same town/Tiburon), and my belongings didn't arrive until April 17. Thanks for letting me know I missed ya'- it's been rectified now

It's been 30 years since I lived in Northern Calif, but it used to be only "foreigners" referred to "The City" as Frisco. It was kind of a dig back then.

yep agreed "frisco" was highly frowned upon and a sure sign that you did not live here/nearby. I knew better after a month of arriving here from the east coast, about 18 years ago.

But "what is old is new again." So it seems that "frisco" is somewhat in vogue, since the term is sort of retro and the seventies look seems to be swinging back around again (in fashion anyway).

I have collected many vintage tube amplifiers but my main interest is building my own.
